Article 2 | What data do we use?

  • Here you will find an overview of the data we process, why we need it, on what legal basis and how long we will store this data.
  • We process your name, email address, address details and bank details that are necessary to optimally deliver our services based on the agreement. Without this data we cannot properly execute the agreement. For example, we cannot send the book if we do not have the data.
  • We store this data for 7 years (this is the legal retention period of the Tax Authorities).
  • Should you unexpectedly have a complaint about our services, we will process your name, email and the content of this complaint in order to arrive at the best possible solution for you. We use this data for an optimal execution of the agreement. We will store the data until this complaint has been dealt with.
  • To enable and optimize our website, we use analytics services. We have a commercial interest (legitimate interest) to use your surfing behavior on our website and related data to analyze our service and improve it where necessary (see article 6).
  • We will track your use of our website with Google Analytics and are bound by Google’s retention periods.
  • When you fill out the contact form on our website, we process, with your explicit permission, your name, email, phone number and other data that you wish to fill in on the form. We store data from completed contact forms until your question has been processed and dealt with.

Article 3 | How do we obtain the data?

We obtain the data mentioned from you as a customer or website visitor, because you provide this data to us when ordering our book.

Article 4 | What rights do you have with regard to this data?

The General Data Protection Regulation has given you a number of rights with regard to the personal data that you have allowed us to process.

  1. Inspection – You can request us to inspect your data at any time. In order to verify your identity, we may ask you to confirm your identity using the KopieID app .
  2. Amendment – You can submit a request if you want to have your data adjusted, improved, supplemented, shielded or deleted based on inspection.
  3. Objection – You can object to the processing of your data on the legal basis of the legitimate interest of Your Company Name
  4. Data transfer – Should you wish to transfer your data to another provider, Dive Technics BV will provide your data in a structured and common format that can be opened by common digital systems.
  5. Automated processing – You may always let us know your position on an automated decision by Dive Technics BV and have this decision reconsidered by a third party.
  6. Withdrawal – When we have processed data based on your explicit consent, you have the right to withdraw this consent. This may have consequences for the services we can provide you.

To exercise your rights, you can send a request to info@divetechnics.be. We will assess your request as soon as possible. If we cannot comply with your request, we will let you know why we are rejecting your request.

Article 5 | Who receives your data?

Dive Technics BV will not provide your data to third parties, unless this is necessary for optimal business operations or is required by law. We will not sell your data.

Cookies are small pieces of information that are sent to your browser when you visit the website and are then stored on the hard drive in the memory of the device you use to visit our website. These cookies cannot damage your devices. Your Company Name uses functional and analytical cookies.
